Terms of Service

1. Definitions

“Service” means the HikrLink platform at hikrl.ink, including URL shortening, bio pages, QR code generation, link analytics, and related features.

“User” means any individual or entity that registers for or uses the Service.

“Content” means any URLs, text, images, or data you submit to the Service.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use HikrLink.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use HikrLink to:

• Shorten, redirect, or distribute links to malware, phishing sites, or fraudulent content
• Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or deceptive links
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of any third party
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

4. Service Plans and Billing

HikrLink offers a free Starter plan and paid subscription plans. Each plan's features and limits are described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method at the applicable rate until you cancel.

Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles invoicing, sales tax and payment processing on our behalf, and works out any sales tax or VAT due at checkout. Your purchase is subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms.

Changing plan opens a new checkout. The new plan starts when that payment completes, at its full price, and your previous subscription is cancelled at the same moment without a credit or proration for its unused time. Our Refund Policy explains when a recent charge can still be refunded.

Links owned by accounts on the free Starter plan may show a short ad page, with an ad placed by us, before forwarding the visitor to the destination. Links on paid plans do not.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. A cancellation always takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for: you keep your plan until then, you are not charged again, and your account then moves to the free Starter plan. Your links, bio pages and analytics are not deleted.

You can cancel from the Billing page in your dashboard until 7 days before a monthly renewal or 30 days before an annual renewal. At any time, including inside those windows, you can cancel through Paddle using the Manage subscription link in your purchase confirmation email, or by emailing support@hikrlink.com.

You may request a refund within 14 days of the transaction date, for any reason. After that window we refund charges made in error and periods in which a fault on our side kept you from using the Service. We do not refund unused parts of a billing period, except where the law requires it. See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Usage Limits and Fair Use

Your plan's limits, such as the number of links you can create each month, apply as described on the pricing page. To keep the Service reliable for everyone, we also limit how fast requests can be made. Currently, each account can create up to 60 links per minute from the dashboard, requests to the API with an API key are limited to 60 per minute from each IP address, and requests from a connected AI assistant to 120 per minute. We may adjust these limits, and we may slow down, block or suspend traffic that threatens the stability or security of the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of HikrLink is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which lists what we collect and who we share it with.

When people open your short links or visit your bio pages, we record the data described in the Privacy Policy (IP address, user agent, device type, browser, country, referrer, campaign parameters and a click identifier) to provide you with analytics. For that visitor data, you are the controller and we act as your processor. We process it to provide the Service to you, following your instructions as expressed through your settings, and to keep the Service secure and free of abuse. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the data collected through your links and pages and for informing your visitors. Where HikrLink's own Meta Pixel runs on a bio page with the visitor's consent, we are the controller for that data.

If you add a Meta Pixel or connect Meta's Conversions API, events about your visitors are sent to Meta on your instruction. You are responsible for obtaining any consent your visitors must give for that, and for complying with Meta's terms.

8. Connected Services

You can connect third-party services to your account, such as an AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) or Meta. When you do, you authorise that service to access the data and perform the actions you approve, and its use of that data is governed by its own terms. You can disconnect it at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

HikrLink and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Bouletteproof Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of Content you submit but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bouletteproof Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bouletteproof Ltd, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
